4x8 Job Board
Job site for companies with a four-day work week
Companies that have experimented with a four-day work week — that is a 32-hour work week without a reduction in pay — have reported reduced employee churn, increased productivity, and increased revenue.
In fact, the first long-term 4DWW study suggests that as employees work with a reduced schedule, they continue to create more efficiencies. Additionally, workers report improved health and overall job satisfaction.
While many US-based companies plan to test the four-day work week, at this time, only 20% have.
Having experienced the benefits of a 4DWW myself, I wanted to find a way to highlight businesses that are taking the initiative to make this transition and connect job seekers to these in-demand roles. I built a job board specifically for companies who offer 32-hour work weeks called 4x8: It’s about time.
Launched in August of 2023, 4x8 quickly grew to 10,000 users in less than 3 months using only organic social media.
Update: 4x8 was a passion project, but unfortunately a very expensive one. The domain is no longer active but 4dayweek.io and 4dayweek.com are excellent resources whether you are looking for a 4DWW job or looking to implement a reduced workweek at your company.
